How To Making Folding Couch
Folding couch work well in dorms, small rooms and other small places. They are often held for guests because when not in use, they can be folded up, saving space. In fact, a folding double bed will only require 6-square-foot when folded up. To make a durable folding sofa, use strong materials like oak. I am a strong wood that works well for many furniture applications, including folding beds.
Place the two 77-inch discs on the edge so folding couch bed are parallel and 35 inches apart. Position two 35-inch discs perpendicular to them so they are also on the edge and 75 inches apart. Drill three holes for each corner of the frame, 1/2 inch from every 10-inch end of 77-inch discs, and into half-inch middle 35-inch discs. Space the holes 3 inches apart. Screw the boards together using the 12 3-inch screws to secure your frame. Pre-drill 3/32-inch holes for each screw application in this project. Place plywood on top of the frame and screw it on the frame with the 24 2-inch screws. Screw the 1/2 inch center frame edges and space the screws 9 inches apart. This will keep your mattress.
Place the two 39-inch discs vertically, parallel and 77 inches apart. Set 79-inch board on top of the two boards so the corners are flush and screw 79-inch on board the 39-inch discs in the same process as you did in step 1. Use 6 screws for this task. This will keep your folding couch frame. Place the mattress frame vertically, so that it rests on one of its 77-inch discs. Lift one end up and place a plug under the frame so it is two inches from the corner. Repeat this process on the other side. The dummies should be centered under 10-inch on board and perpendicular to it. Place 39-inch discs around the frame so the 79-inch board is 1 inch above the frame. All the edges between the two sets of boards should be flush.
Drill a 1-inch hole through 39-inch on board and through 35-inch aboard the frame. The hole must be parallel to the 77-inch discs, 2 inches above the bottom of the 39-inch board, and 2-inch from the plywood on the frame. Repeat this process on the opposite side so that the two holes are aligned. Place a 2-inch wooden stick in each of these holes to secure both sets of wood together. The mattress frame can be folded down horizontally with ease when the dimmers below it are removed. Fold the bed up so it is in vertical position. Drill two 1-inch holes through 79-inch on board, and into 77-inch aboard the mattress frame. The holes should be along the 5-inch center both boards and 6 inches from each end of the board.
